Welcome to Our Urban Palimpsest, a newsletter about architecture, design, and real estate development in Los Angeles.

The focus will be on missing middle housing in L.A. and the myriad issues around its design and development. I will approach it from various perspectives with architecture and development being the overarching rubrics: design and finance. Housing being what it is, this will at times be a place for general reflection and at times mean that I will nerd out in excessive detail over certain elements. In either case, I aim to make it enjoyable and educational.
